Things are going according to plan!
A big problem I've been having is keeping up with the schedules I've been making. So I'd said "Screw it! It'll be done when it's done!" Which was honestly really dumb. I'm glad I got help from a few outside sources to help me put things in order.
Now let's talk about what's been completed!
New Fancy Abilities!
Only the fanciest, darling.
From grabbin more coins off wizards to multi jumpin we got you some fun new things to do in the game (or at least I hope they're fun)!
So the way it works is:
step 1: find a key
step 2: find and open chest with said key
step 3: gain a random ability
step 4: ???
step 5: Profit!
step 6: go on the internet and write an overused "Profit!" joke.

Now there are a few abilities I didn't have the time to get to. Things like the wizard vacuum or a special drill that lets you fly I really wanted to add but ran out of time for. Maybe if I come across time in the future I'll add them in? Very unlikely, but they're on the "if I have time" list!
There's also another thing about items I'm happy about, UI !
So in a game the UI just blends right in and you don't even think about it. That is, if you do your job right. I don't like the idea of having a bunch of numbers at the top left of the screen saying how many keys or crystals you have.
That looks super ugly to me!
Instead I think it would be a lot better if I could build the UI into the game a little more. Make it part of the world you know? It just feels better, at least to me. Plus now that it's part of the world, it doesn't feel like it's overlapping important parts of the screen!
Also I made it snakey! I think that's fun.

Welcome To My Store! It's Got A Conveyor Belt.
So as I said last month, this is all about functionality not aesthetics. So dat mean it's gon be ugly.
That's right! Save The Hero has a $6,000 potato!
Well not really. It's just a silly placeholder with test numbers . But I think it's super cool I got a conveyor belt of items! That will make it so no mater what size your screen it, you'll be able to see every item! Also it's kind of fun to play with.

So as well as being able to make a mess in the store, you can actually buy items! You also have the ability to swap between different items (like animations, effects, coins, etc).
Other Stuff That Happened!
So I look a little different now...
hahha! It's a special event thing for the stream. I'm a little full of myself but I think this clip is great. The people in our community are awesome at making clips. I think I was trying to work out a problem with the options menu? Well whatever it was I got it!

Along with that, there's also a few bugs here and there I gotta fix. But otherwise things are going good.
Plan For Next Month
So this next month here is a bit of a grab bag of things left to do. It isn't as simple as "make all the gameplay stuff! Don't worry about art!". This month is a bunch of things like: make the game over screen. Get your trailer started, work on making better levels, and stuff like that.
I'm actually pretty happy with how this month went. Nothing is perfect, and there's still a few bugs from place to place, but if I can do as good this month as I did last I'll be in a good spot to getting this thing finished at the time I'm hoping to!
