Hey there! Try and make more time by reducing the number of things you need to do and more will appear to take it's place. Due to financial issues, I need to focus more on other things (as much as I'd rather be doing this). Because of that I'm going to be moving much slower, though it feels like I'm moving at a slug's pace already, but I will not stop! I'll just be a little bit.
So here's that video I promised ya! Only two days late!! Yeah I know... I'll work on it. Anyways here's a quick summary of what's in this video. A wizard stand in as been added. He can moves on "tracks" and change between them. Along with that, Terra's sprite image can rotate! Here's the long summary. After long nights of pulling out my hair and pacing back and fourth in frustration, I finally made a very small amount of progress! Getting the wizard to move on a path was easy, to choose before hand and switch between them, not so much. Being unable to figure out an easy way to do this took the only other way I could think of. Code for every possible outcome. It's my last resort answer that will take several years off your life and put fist sized bald spots on your head. But it's worth it when things start working the way you want. As far as I can tell, as long as I don't alter the shape of the "tracks" in any way, the wizard follows and switches between tracks with no problems. Terra's sprite image now rotates! It's buggy and broken and doesn't work right at certain points, but it looks nice!... kinda.. The last two days has been me trying to get this to work right, going through many different ideas to solve issues but to no avail... yet! I will figure this out even though I'm completely out of ideas. I might just need to move on and come back to it later though. It's held me up for too long. So things are moving forward slowly, but they are moving forward. I still have a few more things to do before I can move on to art and music. So expect to see more code related posts until then! |
